Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feedforward. Other times I will share my final published pieces.

The Great Reading Adventure
We are learning to write a moment in time about our class assembly, 'The Great Reading Adventure'.
Finally the moment has come for our great assembly! I felt anxious and epic to be the main character. My first scene was Duffy, Scruffy and friends. I thought we were doing an epic job. Now gotta keep reading started playing and it was the time for the others to come in. The second scene was the Wonky Donkey. I asked Scruffy what do you call a donkey with three legs? Then I said a wonky donkey. Everyone laughed. I sit down and paused, 'Wait' I thought to myself.

Tsunami Evacuation
We wrote a recount about our evacuation experience. WALT add details to our writing and edit carefully.
Last Friday we had a Tsunami evacuation and we scrambled up a steep hill. I was a bit angry that I didn't know what was happening. It was boiling hot when we walked the hill and a few people were crying. We got up a bit and me and Ryan were chosen to help see if there were any cows in the paddock. We saw that there were no cows so Whaea Deb went back to tell the school it was alright and finally I felt calm. So then we sat down and had some morning tea. After that we walked a bit further up the hill. Then we sat down and had lunch. We also played games and played with toys. I had some temper tantrums when gorse poked me. After we had a delicious sausage sizzle and sang some waiata.

WALT add details to our writing and edit carefully.
Last Friday the big feelings tour came to Paparore school. Lots of tractors came to. There was a lady called Cat who did the awesome big feelings show. She explained her past in a great show. She showed us the lonely sadness Cat had back then and how it grew and grew. She got Tame, Charlie, and Millan up on stage. The teachers picked them. Tame got into a skeleton suit, Charlie had a mask and Millan had girl glasses. They were the three brains thinking brain, emotions brain and reflex brain. Cat through a hammer at us but it turned out to be fake. At the end she gave us a great thing called a mood cube. It shows our emotions which are sadness, madness, happiness and nervousness.
